This old indian man touched my butt!?
I was with my dad looking for luggage accessories and he was nice with us and everything but he touched my butt! I feel violated. What can I do?
Being nice to you might have been the clue. He probably thought you were asking for it.
If you go to India,you will probably might get used to it. They call it the soft power I believe. Old Indian men think it is normal for them to touch a butt now and then.
I have been in India several times for my work. Once I was accompanied by my daughter. She was harassed all day by Indian men who were sure she was dying to have an indian experience. In the end I protected her front and a friend of mine (not Indian) covered her back.
Once an old Indian man (big turban and impressive moustache) managed to do it again. I walked with him through the whole bazar shouting things like: “Where is your daughter? I want to touch her bum!”
Next time this happens, shout out loud, tell everybody what happened. He will be very good at denying, this should not stop you.
